African Business Chamber represent the interests and champion the growth of African owned businesses and entrepreneurs in the UK
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) Growth Hub is working collaboratively with the African Business Chamber (AfBC) to support black and African SME businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs operating or considering starting a business in Cambridge, Peterborough, Huntingdonshire or Fenland local authority areas. Business support services to be delivered include Peer Networks, Access to finance and Grant funding for growing businesses, skills development, sustainability and NetZero workshops, coaching and mentoring, business events and on the new Community Renewal Fund (CRF) intensive programme launched in January 2022.
AfBC promote enhanced multilateral trade and investment relations between the UK and African countries and act as the collective voice of African businesses in the UK. They represent the interests of members to key business stakeholders across all business sectors, supporting them to grow and thrive.
Eugene Nizeyimana (pictured), Chief Executive of the African Business Chamber, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with the CPCA Growth Hub and the opportunities this present to empower black and African businesses in the region, drive inclusive growth, enhance productivity, skills development and economic participation in the coming months. This collaboration is an important step and very timely as businesses recover and grow post COVID-19. We hope that many SME businesses and entrepreneurs will get involved and benefit from these support services on offer.”
AfBC members operate within a wide range of sectors and industries across the UK reflecting the broad spectrum of businesses. Its membership services offer a diverse schedule of networking events and support services to help businesses grow and develop. The Chamber hosts B2B events to offer businesses visibility and opportunities to establish valuable business connections and a wide range of practical and professional services.
AfBC wish to thank CPCA Growth Hub for their effort towards bringing this collaborative initiative as it demonstrates their aim to champion inclusive economic growth and development to support minority businesses in the region. We hope this will create future sustainable opportunities.
