The Light House Community Group held their first small business market since taking over East Community Centre at the start of the pandemic

The event, which took place last Saturday 26th February, was set up to support local small businesses get back on their feet after the pandemic and the chance to network with other small business owners.

The Mayor of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Dr Nik Johnson was in attendance. Dr Johnson said: “It was a pleasure to be invited by Light House Community Group to open their first Small Business Market at East Community Centre Peterborough. As Mayor of the Combined Authority this is precisely the kind of Community initiative I am keen to support, where local charities and businesses work in Cooperation to listen to each others needs and show one another Compassion by helping each other to grow and succeed. A fantastic event which I hope to see more of throughout the Covid recovery.”
