In 2017, Charlie Schneider founded CB Self Storage, an independent facility tucked just off the A14 in Bar Hill. With a vision to offer accessible and reliable storage solutions, the business steadily grew. However, like many businesses, the effects of the pandemic hit hard with the economic under strain, banks tightening their lending and securing a business loan felt uncertainty at best, Charlie had to look at alternative resources. 

Hippo Motor Group is a family-owned automotive business with roots tracing back to 1906, when George Paley Preston founded the company as a coal merchant. By the 1960s, the Preston family transitioned into the motor trade, establishing a strong reputation through EWS Preston as a trusted prestige car dealer.  

Marketing and communications agency, Big Bear Creative was originally launched in 2016. For the past 9 years they have worked closely with the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority Growth Hub to establish a client base, network, advertise and grow their business into a nationally recognised agency through a year long mentorship programme that gave them the tools and confidence to join the correct networks and begin to grow and thrive.
