Box-It East provides hard copy storage, confidential document destruction, state-of-the-art scanning and environmentally-friendly recycling services. The company has used the grant to purchase and install new racking space in its storage facility, allowing them to serve the growing needs of their current clients and enable them to take on new customers.

Signpost 2 Grants is funded by the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP, and is designed to support companies with a desire to grow. Neil Darwin, Chief Executive of Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP, said:

“Box-It East has been providing businesses with a service to securely store and manage important documents since 2002, and they have developed a loyal client base. I am pleased that our Signpost 2 Grants funding has helped Box-It East to expand their storage capacity and continue to grow their business. We still have grant funding available for businesses that are looking to invest in their growth, so I would recommend other West Suffolk companies contact us to find out how they may be able to benefit from grant funding too.”

Claire Brooks, Managing Director at Box-It East, said:

“Over the years, Box-it East has grown continuously and quickly. We are a small company, and without new business we cannot invest in new racking, and without new racking we cannot generate new business! The Signpost 2 Grants funding has enabled us to confidently invest in essential equipment to allow the business to continue to grow – not only in terms of turnover and clients, but our team is also growing to meet our high service expectations.”

Signpost 2 Grants is designed to support companies who are keen to invest in their growth, and is funded by the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP. Grants of between £2,000 and £20,000 are available to local SMEs who are looking to invest in new equipment, new machinery, improvements to their premises, or other capital purchases. The grants can be used to fund up to 20% of a total project cost, to provide businesses with the extra help they need to grow.

Businesses must be located within the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP area to apply, which covers Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Rutland, West Suffolk, West Norfolk, Uttlesford, North Hertfordshire, South Holland and South Kesteven.
