Test Labs is a Medical Device testing laboratory with accredited Quality Management Systems. Test Labs work with medical device manufacturers providing expertise in clinical evaluation and reprocessing validation. They provide clients with tailored, highly customised solutions that go beyond market access.
Test Labs secured a Growth Works grant (please note that Growth Works is now in house with the CPCA Growth Hub) to help invest in lab equipment and build a ‘virus laboratory’.
The virus laboratory offers a tailored set of testing services which will be available to all clients, complemented by state-of-the-art specialist equipment. These services are being developed and expanded in response to the growing market demand that has exceeded supply capacity, both locally and globally.
This investment made Test Labs a vital resource for medical and device manufactures and organisations to test their own innovative products. The grant enabled the creation of not only opportunity within Peterborough but also new jobs, new markets, and new standards. Test Labs have been able to grow from a small business to a major economic engine for MedTech/Healthcare industries.
Members from the CPCA Growth Hub and the CPCA Business Board attended and celebrated the opening of the new virus laboratory, including Emma Garfield, Tim Jones, Chris George, and Jennifer McNamara. We were shown around the lab equipped with state-of-the-art testing chambers to replicate a multitude of real-world conditions. The dedicated teams across chemistry, microbiology, and material sciences, exemplify innovation. Their agile approach to research makes the difference. This is not about maintaining standards; it is about setting them.
